Research and technology development
Measures to reduce climate emissions are high up on the political agenda all over the world. Research in this area is key to make well-funded decisions and investments.
National program
CLIMIT is a national program for research, development and testing of technologies for capture and storage of CO2 from industry and power production. The goal is to contribute to faster realization of climate technologies.
The program ensures the follow-through of activities that would not have been realized without support from the state, or that would have been realized at a much smaller scale or over a much longer time span.
CLIMIT consists of two support schemes; CLIMIT R&D and CLIMIT-Demo, run by the Research Council of Norway and Gassnova respectively.
